Stock falling from racking collapse

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, New.York.  August 3rd 2016

Town on Tonawanda Police say a FedEx driver was killed Wednesday morning during a work-related accident.

The worker, identified as 57 year-old Buffalo resident Earl Reese, was on a FedEx truck at their freight facility on Military Rd. around 7:15 a.m. when he was crushed by a pallet carrying 1,300 pounds worth of packages.

The packages were against the back wall of the truck when the pallet carrying them tipped over, pinning Mr Earl Reese.

Although several employees tried to free Reese, it took a fork lift to get the pallet off of him. He died at the scene after paramedics tried to save him.
